Writing We are working on our vowel sounds and stretching out the word to hear those sounds. We have learned short
a, short u, and short i. Example: to spell pig, we say ppppiiiiiig. Catch the first sound, then the vowel and then the last
sound. We stretch it out, because breaking it apart can lead to hearing extra sounds.
Some kiddos confuse b and d - not only in how they
look but also what sound they make. Review this poster to help them.
